Leila is a registered Clinical Psychologist and board approved Supervisor. She is committed to providing high quality services through evidence-based interventions.
Leila is available for individual therapy with adolescents and adults.
Leila emphasizes the therapeutic relationship, a collaborative approach, and brings warmth, flexibility and compassion to her practice. Where appropriate, at times Leila also utilizes humor in therapy. She understands it can be very difficult engaging in therapy and can go at a pace that is comfortable for the client.
Leila is experienced in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy, and working from a trauma-informed and strengths based approach.

Background
Leila currently works as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at a public mental health service and has previously worked in the forensic field. Prior to gaining full registration as a Psychologist, Leila worked for over 8 years in community mental health services, supporting clients experiencing mental health issues, and carers (families/friends) caring for loved ones living with dementia and/or mental health issues.
In her spare time, Leila likes to travel, eat delicious foods, watch movies and true crime podcasts, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends.
