We understand there’s more to successful therapy than just a great session. That’s why we also consider the practical, medical, legal, cultural and social circumstances unique to you.
It’s no secret that when it comes to therapy, there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all. Which is why, at Positive Psychology, we have practitioners who are trained in a variety of treatment approaches – so that we can tailor our approach to your needs.

Need more support? We offer a range of services beyond therapy.
Our team can help you with funding applications, psychological assessment, reporting and medico-legal support – to meet your unique needs and treatment goals.
We’re proud of our multilingual and multicultural team, that’s as diverse as our wonderful community. So you’ll always feel welcomed, included, and understood.

We help individuals, families, couples and organisations move towards positive growth and increased wellbeing, through specialised approaches and offerings.
A standard therapy session lasts for 50 minutes.
If you have a strong preference, you’re welcome to request your preferred practitioner. This is subject to availability. We can also pair you with the practitioner who has the right background and skillset for your needs.
Do you prefer a practitioner well versed in another language? We’re proud of our wonderful multicultural team and may well have a practitioner who understands your culture and speaks your native tongue.
Standard session fees depend on your practitioner – and their area of practice, qualifications and experience.
For individual sessions, Medicare rebates may be available with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. You may be eligible for up to 10 individual rebates per calendar year.
Current Medicare rules do not allow you to claim for couples’ sessions.
Some private health funds will allow you to claim for individual and couple sessions. But you will need to check your specific cover.
We have three clinics for in-person therapy across Melbourne – in Oakleigh, Mount Eliza, and Mornington.
We also have many practitioners that offer telehealth sessions. Home visits may also be possible subject to availability.
