Since opening in 2008, we’ve grown from a one-person practice into a cross-discipline team of committed professionals.
We offer one-on-one therapy at our Oakleigh, Mount Eliza and Mornington practices. Across these sites, we also provide group therapy, psychological assessment, and career focused services for individuals and organisations.
We’re proud of the warm, welcoming, and positive environment Positive Psychology has become.

Our founder, Dr Peter Kyriakoulis, has always believed in a strengths-based approach, supporting our clients, staff and community with compassion, respect, and optimism. He has grown an organisation grounded in this philosophy.
While it’s important that mental health care addresses distress, we also believe in nurturing positive emotions—like joy, connection, pride and purpose. Most of all, we focus on building hope.
We meet people where they are, and work collaboratively to help them create a meaningful path forward. It’s this hopeful, forward-looking approach that defines our practice.
Every person is as unique as the culture they come from. Here at Positive Psychology we understand this deeply and build a team that reflects Melbourne’s rich multicultural community – our practitioners are fluent in a number of languages.
By connecting clients with psychologists who speak their language and appreciate their cultural background, we can approach every situation with the nuance and sensitivity it deserves.

Positive Psychology is built on a solid foundation of psychological expertise.
Our leadership team comprises practising psychologists specialising in clinical and organisational psychology. They bring a deep commitment to care and respect for every individual, which lies at the heart of everything we do.
With us, you’re in a safe and supportive space.
We’re registered with the NDIS and we’re also accredited to provide support for:
Plus, we have three board-approved supervisors who oversee provisional psychologists and internships – of which we welcome many.
